Job Description

Established in 1995, our client is a global supplier of software development tools and components operating in the USA, UK, Ireland and Japan. They support over 125,000 customers across 180 countries, with teams assisting customers in 10 languages.

They are now opening their new branch in the Netherlands and are looking for a Client Services Representative to join their team in Amsterdam. As a Client Services Representative, you will be assisting  customers via email, phone, and LiveChat, ensuring their software needs are met in German as well as in English. You will be a founding member of this new team and it is a great opportunity to grow for the long term with a very dynamic company.


In this position, you will provide world-class service in German as well as in English, focusing on customer service, sales and relationship building.

  • First point of contact for customers, handling inquiries via email, phone, and live chat
  • Building strong customer relationships working collaboratively with Accounts Managers when needed
  • Generating competitive quotes for software licenses and renewals
  • Following up on quotes to achieve team targets
  • Collaborating with other departments such as Finance, Account Management and Tech Support for prompt responses
  • Processing and delivering orders accurately
  • Analyzing and reporting on customer feedback, market trends and other market players
  • Maintaining customer and order databases
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks that may be required

Who we are looking for:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication with near-native proficiency both in German and English
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service or similar internal sales roles, preferably in IT but not mandatory
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Customer-oriented mindset, easily adaptable with understanding that each customer is different  
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organised and excellent multitasking abilities
  • Motivated and adaptable to a sales-focused environment
  • Goal-oriented and able to work autonomously or in an international dynamic team
  • Works well under pressure and meets deadlines
  • Good with numbers and enjoys working in a commercial environment

Work Schedule:
Full-time position (40 hours a week) for the long term. Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with 30-minute lunch break. No shift involved.
