Job Description

Our client is a leading player in the bridal fashion industry, known for its exceptional craftsmanship and innovative design. With a rich history of creating exquisite wedding dresses, they are dedicated to helping brides fulfill their dreams of a perfect wedding day.

For their team in the Netherlands, we are currently searching for an experienced International Sales Manager to ensure and support with the continuous growth of our client’s business. In this role, you will be responsible for driving wholesale sales growth within the European Union and United Kingdom markets, managing a team of sales professionals, and developing strategic initiatives to expand our client’s market share and exceed revenue targets. This role also includes coordinating and managing international trade shows and pop-up markets.

It is good to know that travelling within Europe and occasionally to the US is part a big part of the role and that around 50% of the time will be spent on it.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive wholesale sales growth and territory expansion by assisting sales agents with sales, visiting and managing the relationship with key accounts, partnerships, and potential business opportunities, and attending trade shows and any events needed.
  • Manage sales agents including hiring and building up the sales teams within Europe and the United Kingdom, as well as evaluate sales agent performance levels and achievement of goals.
  • Prepare for, coordinate, and lead European sales meetings and bridal market trade shows.
  • Work closely with the Global Sales Manager on the international sales strategy, managing the international sales team, and developing and executing international sales expansion efforts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and customer service.
  • Manage and oversee international gown on loan and trunk show programs.
  • Oversee sample distribution and logistics in support of trade shows.

Requirements:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Management, Business Administration or any other relevant field
  • You at least 5+ years of experience of sales management
  • You have experience of managing a team, ideally an international one
  • You have prior experience of working within the bridal or apparel industry
  • You speak English fluently; it is a big plus if you speak French, German, or Spanish
  • You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and you have the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients and partners
  • You are a strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and you have the motivation and ability to develop and execute sales plans
