Job Description

Our client - one of the leading manufacturers of baby products and toys - is looking for a Sales Analyst to join their team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will support the in-market account sales teams by offering sales reporting and analytics to enhance decision-making and measure success. You will be responsible for generating weekly and monthly sales trend reports, contributing to the forecast consensus process, and maintaining account business plans to guide sales and demand teams with current data and customer insights.

For this role, we are looking for someone who is immediately available and living in or near Amsterdam. You will be offered a temporary contract for 6 months through us, Adams Multilingual Recruitment. Once the assignment has come to an end, there is a possibility to be offered a direct contract with the client.

In this role, you will:

  • Holistically support account sales teams with data, reporting and regular analysis to identify and execute business opportunities
  • Support with the maintenance of the account business plans
  • Provide weekly weekly reporting/tracking using customer POS data
  • Prepare monthly segment trend and promotional analysis along with insights
  • Generate and maintenance item-level and account-level demand forecasts
  • Review forecast exceptions weekly to ensure forecast and orders are in-sync
  • Work with sales managers to ensure all set quantities, promotions, item expansions and exits are captured in the forecast
  • Review and compare customer forecast and our client’s forecast to identify key differences, determine reasons for differences, and enable gap closure
  • Manage demand forecasts
  • Gather and analyze data to understand problems and address them proactively as well as provide Ad-hoc support and analysis as needed

Whom are we searching for?

  • You have prior experience of working in a similar position as well as working with/contributing to forecasting
  • You have prior experience of working within the retail industry
  • You have prior experience of working with Excel and, ideally, PowerBI
  • You speak English fluently
  • You are immediately available
  • You are living in or near Amsterdam, and you are eligible to work in the Netherlands without time restrictions

This is an American based company with an office in Amsterdam. You will be part of an international team in the Amsterdam office but also work closely with the team in the USA. This is a hybrid role with the possibility to work from home 2 days a week. The contract will be through our agency for 6 months to begin with, and after that, there is a possibility to be offered a direct contract with our client.
