Job Description

Our client, a leading provider of innovative access control solutions, is looking for an Area Sales Manager to join their team. The role involves selling products and solutions to housing associations and property management companies through a dedicated network of installers and distributors. This position is 100% remote/field service focused on business development with new prospects and existing customers. You must live in the Flanders area.

Responsibilities:

Prospecting:

  • Generate leads through appointments and meetings.
  • Schedule and attend meetings via phone, LinkedIn, or on-site.
  • Maintain excellent communication, self-direction, and determination.

Obtaining and Following Leads:

  • Use curiosity and listening skills to gather project leads during meetings.
  • Follow up on leads accurately to convert them into orders.
  • Manage projects ranging from one month to two years with strong project management skills.

Managing Partners:

  • Build and maintain a group of installation and distribution partners.
  • Support partners and ensure they actively promote the solutions.
  • Measure partner success against specific KPIs and keep them engaged.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work with an Inside Sales Representative for meeting scheduling, quotes, and project follow-up.
  • Participate in continuous training to improve technical knowledge, market dynamics, and transferable skills.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in customer relations and business development.
  • Proven sales results.
  • Experience with specifiers and responding to public tenders is an advantage.
  • Openness to innovation.
  • Benevolence towards others.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and decisive.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Fluency in Dutch, English, and French is an advantage.
  • Residency in the Flanders region, Belgium.
