Sales Commodity Trader | Metal & Steel | Japanese
Job Description
Our client is an international commdity trading company with a HQ in Asia, and we are looking for a Sales Commodity Trader to join their team. They have been growing very well to the point that they have move to a new office that is 3 times bigger than their previous office. Would you like to be part of growing organization? Responsibilities:
- Manage the global market for Non-Ferrous metal recycling, overseeing the entire spectrum from purchase to sales
- Navigate all aspects of business transactions, including marketing, customer visits, quality assurance, pricing, negotiation for both purchases and sales, documentation management, payment processing, and profit calculations
- Foster relationships with existing customers while actively seeking opportunities to expand clientele, introduce new products, develop innovative business schemes, and establish new business channels in various countries
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, devising effective solutions, and providing recommendations
- Contribute collaboratively to team objectives by achieving related results as required
- Report daily activities and analytical insights to management
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Eligibility to work in the Netherlands (no visa sponsorship available)
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Able to travel 50%
- A minimum of 2 years of sales experience, with preference given to those with at least 3 years of experience in another company
- Proficient in client relationship management and effective communication across diverse audiences
- You have negotiation skills, translation abilities, closing techniques, self-confidence, self-motivation, resilience for demanding work and travel, and strong presentation skills
- Fluency in English and Japanese are must
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of international trading, including shipping and Incoterms
- While not mandatory, an interest in Japanese culture is preferred
- Possess a personality that enjoys traveling to different countries, combining seriousness with an ability to have fun
