Job Description
For our international client, opening a new facility in the Netherlands, we are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance, in line with domestic and international regulations. In this role you will be leading quality assurance activities, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and oversee the organization's quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct first piece, in-process, and final inspections using precise measuring instruments.
- Ensure timely calibration and record-keeping of all measuring equipment, both in-house and outsourced.
- Respond to customer quality surveys, questionnaires, and corrective action requests, including 8D and DMAIC.
- Support quality functions through testing, inspection, auditing, capability studies, and cost of quality studies.
- Collaborate with production staff to create custom packaging that meets customer and shipping requirements.
- Supervise and train quality assurance personnel in inspection techniques and best practices.
- Visit suppliers and customers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and outgoing products, including conducting audits and 2nd party certifications.
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to resolve quality issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide quality support to various project teams, particularly in new product introduction and supply chain processes.
- Lead and host external and customer audits, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain company external accreditations and uphold relationships with professional bodies, suppliers, and institutions.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Quality Assurance.
- 5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO9001, IATF 16949 (automotive), and AS9100 standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both within the team and with external stakeholders.
- Proactive problem solver with a creative approach to challenges.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong multi-tasking abilities.
- Proficient in Excel and other MS Office applications, with a solid understanding of various Quality Management Systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in English is a must, and knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
