Job Description

Exciting times are ahead, and one of clients is currently seeking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Hoofddorp to support the continuous growth. Our client is a telecommunications equipment provider and they are currently looking for an experienced logistics professional who will oversee and manage international inbound and outbound shipment to their distribution centers in the Netherlands and Singapore as well as direct shipments from their suppliers to their customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. By fostering close collaboration with various departments, the Logistics Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring a seamless and efficient shipment process to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Please note that this will be on a temporary contract via our recruitment agency. For this reason, we can only consider candidates who are available immediately and based in the Netherlands.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with vendors to facilitate shipping coordination.
  • Oversee and coordinate transportation across Road, Ocean, and Air modes. Work closely with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to ensure prompt and cost-effective product delivery to designated destinations.  
  • Daily monitoring of pending and unshipped orders in partnership with the Order Fulfillment team.
  • Analyze transportation routes, identifying opportunities for optimizing logistics operations. This includes reducing lead times, transportation costs, and enhancing overall efficiency.
  • Identify potential transportation risks and strategize solutions for mitigation. Proactively address issues related to delays, damages, or disruptions in transportation.
  • Maintain transparent communication channels with internal teams, suppliers, and customers. Keep all stakeholders informed about shipment status, tracking details, and other transportation-related updates.
  • Oversee all aspects of Letter of Credit, including documentation, compliance, and negotiation.

You are a match with this position if you:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Have over 5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding or Logistics Coordination.  
  • Have knowledge about transportation regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping practices.
  • Have experience of working with Oracle Proficiency in using the Oracle ERP System.
  • Speak English fluently; if you speak Dutch, French, or Mandarin, that is a big plus
  • Have the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and allocate time appropriately as well as being able to perform under pressure, especially during quarter-end periods.
