Job Description

Are you a payroll expert with hands-on UK payroll experience? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy making a real impact? We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our high-performing international payroll team in Amsterdam. As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll manage payroll for multiple UK entities, ensuring a seamless payroll experience for employees while collaborating cross-functionally to drive process improvements and efficiencies. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative team, helping streamline payroll processes across a wide range of functions. Please note, for this role we are looking for someone who is available on a short notice to work on an agency contract.

  • Process payroll and reimbursable expenses in-house for a portfolio of UK entities using the Workday payroll module.
  • Manage relationships with local stakeholders
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll, including base pay, stock compensation, payroll taxes, pension, statutory and supplemental benefits, mobile employees, shadow payroll, etc.
  • Handle timely and correct wage tax filings to meet local wage tax obligations.
  • Execute month-end close processes, including account reconciliations and accruals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners to drive process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Partner closely with HR, Employee Services, and Employment Legal teams to provide a top-notch payroll experience for UK employees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Tax, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of functional experience in UK payroll processing and accounting across multiple entities.
  • In-house experience with payroll processing in Workday is a must.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft/Google products.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels, including upper management.
  • Fluent in English.
