Our client in the animal healthcare industry is a fast-growing scale-up dedicated to transforming how animals are cared for globally. The Role

As a Senior Business Developer, you will take ownership of expanding the company's reach by identifying and engaging potential clients, building long-term relationships, and driving business growth. This role offers the opportunity to work in an international environment, collaborate with a passionate team, and contribute directly to the company’s success. You will be responsible for researching market opportunities, developing strategies to acquire new clients, and managing your own portfolio while working closely with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, research, and engage potential clients to expand business opportunities.
  • Conduct outreach through multiple channels, schedule meetings, and build strong relationships with prospective partners.
  • Serve as the primary contact for partner practices, fostering trust and ensuring long-term collaboration.
  • Understand client needs and challenges, offering tailored solutions to support their business growth.
  • Track sales activities, maintain accurate records in the CRM system, and provide regular progress updates.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align business development efforts with overall company objectives.

About You

  • Proven Business Development Experience – At least 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or trading, with a strong track record of success.
  • International Exposure – Comfortable working across international markets, understanding diverse business cultures, and managing relationships globally.
  • Results-Driven – A history of consistently achieving sales targets in fast-paced, competitive environments.
  • Entrepreneurial & Solution-Oriented – A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive results.
  • Resilient & Adaptable – Thrives in a dynamic setting, capable of navigating challenges and staying motivated.
  • Strong Communicator & Relationship-Builder – Ability to establish trust, negotiate effectively, and foster long-term business partnerships.
  • Multilingual Advantage – Fluency in English is required; an additional EU language is highly preferred.
  • Based in the Netherlands – Candidates must already reside in the Netherlands, as relocation or immigration support is not provided.

  • Competitive Salary – Gross annual salary of €45,700 (excluding holiday pay), with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) potential of up to €91,400.
