Job Description

Our exciting new client is a company in the high-end adventure travel sector, with over 40 years of experience creating exceptional trips to more than 50 countries worldwide.

Rapidly growing, they recently opened a new office in Utrecht, Netherlands, and are now expanding their team further in search of a new colleague!

The Rooming Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing hotel reservations and securing additional rooms for guests in assigned regions, primarily in Europe.

The key areas of responsibilities:

  • Hotel Communication: You will contact hotels via email and phone to confirm reservations and secure extra rooms as needed, based on a schedule.
  • Reservation Management: Ensuring that all necessary rooms are confirmed for each hotel in your region, following timelines and requirements.
  • Collaboration: You’ll work closely with the US-based Hotel Operations, Sales, and Yield teams to help achieve business goals.
  • Problem-Solving: You’ll address issues with room availability, making adjustments to bookings or solving problems that arise with hotels.
  • System Use: You’ll work with specialized software (Softrip and Ascent) to track tasks and manage reservations efficiently.

Ideal Qualifications

  • You have at least 2 year of administrative/operations/customer experience ideally in hospitality or travel industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills. 
  • Ability to work independently, perform under tight deadlines and multitask effectively. 
  • Strong self-motivation balanced with a desire to achieve team goals.
  • Affinity for systems, databases & strong attention to detail

It is important to emphasize that this role is only open to candidates already living and working in the Netherlands and with full EU rights to work here. The role will be based from the office in Utrecht so it is important that you can travel there easily for 4 days a week with one day from home.
